Development and Effect of an Online Parent Counseling Program for Improving Mother-Child Relationship in Childhood
Lee Jae-Yeon

Kim Se-Young
Abstract
The purpose of this program is to improve mother-child relationships by recognizing the impact of mothers' unconscious relationship patterns on their relationships with their children. The program consisted of 10 sessions of 90 minutes in total, consisting of ¡®30 minutes of parenting skills training + 60 minutes of individual parent counseling¡¯ per session. To verify the effectiveness of the program, parenting-stress tests, parent-child relationship scales, parental self-acceptance scales, and satisfaction surveys were used as evaluation tools. As a result of this study, significant positive changes were confirmed in parent-child relationship, parenting stress, and parental self-acceptance. This study is meaningful in that it is the first parent personal counseling program developed in Korea designed to be developed in the form of online personal counseling, based on each individual's unique and subjective life experience, and to have both educational and therapeutic purposes.
